Autism

Autism has had a stigma for many years about being a type of diagnosis that makes people unable to function in neurotypical society. On the contrary, many individuals who have autism are thriving members who merely operate differently, whether it be socially, mentally, emotionally, physically, etc.

Now that autism is starting to be seen in a more positive light, more and more people are coming forward, wanting to discuss the possibility of having autism and how they can work with their condition rather than against it.

Being someone with a special interest in autism, I like to work with individuals on how to find ways to work with their brain through cognition-based and solution-based treatments, finding success through talking on the client’s level and what helps them grow.

A man and a younger man are smiling and facing each other closely, almost touching foreheads, in an outdoor setting with a brick wall in the background. The younger man is wearing a maroon cap and a maroon shirt, while the older man is dressed in a light-colored shirt. They appear to be sharing a happy and intimate moment.
